We’re doing it wrong.

If we continue to live the way we do, we will irreversibly damage (the) earths ability to sustain life as we know it, and humans will either go extinct, or be forced to adapt to a ruined global ecosystem.

To save the planet, and essentially the human race, it requires massive change on a social, and psychological level.

Changing to a better way of life, a sustainable way of life.

What we need to do is take the first step, get the idea into the social subconscious.

Make an effort to end our abuse of the planet; evolve and move forward as a species.

We don’t need to physically change shape to evolve, we only need to change our way of thinking.

We must acknowledge and recognize that we have a definite influence on the planet.

Admit that we are connected to the earth, and it to us.

There is no way we can continue to live the way we do,  and not expect dramatic changes in our way of life.

We need to work towards harmonization, and look for ways of harnessing energy sources, like the sun.

The idea isn’t a new one

We shouldn’t be thinking on a small scale when it comes to such a global issue.

Every country would have to contribute to this, every continent, every Human.

We can solve the planets energy crisis. we can provide free energy to humans.

We could build a space station shaped like a ring around the earth, covered in solar panels.

It’s a big job, it would take generations.

Life is more than war and flat screen TV’s. The first step, change the focus of humans.

Just imagine, we could simply redirect our ideals and invest in space research and technology, schools teaching more about space, and training people to travel there.

Space wouldn’t just be for Astronauts,  it would be a truly viable goal for anyone fit and intelligent enough to scuba dive or fly an airplane.

“Space construction workers” would go to work for a week at a time, people on the earth working and building the things we need to make the space station.

New ideas, engineer new robots to do jobs in space, new technology to get the energy from space to earth without cables or wires. like Wireless Energy Transfer.

We would have to build energy stations all over the world in every existing city, presumably retrofit, or rebuild current power plants.

All these jobs would build an economy like never before, one that people can understand and believe in, one that creates indefinite social security, health care, and confidence.

This would change everything.

Imagine free power for the entire planet?

Imagine how our world would change without having to mine or burn things to harness power, how much cleaner we would live.

We can do this. We can change the world.

Start caring about our global community and working towards keeping humans alive.

The circumference of the earth at the equator

is 24,901.55 miles (40,075.16 kilometers).

Every few days, I post a page of links to the runningdive web catalogue of Technology, Photography, Design and Radness.

The criteria are my likes, whatever I find interesting, arousing, or unique.

I post the most direct link to the origin of the product, designer, or photographer.

All there is to do is click on the image that catches your eye.
