Dear imeem Support:

I have an account, I paid $10 for it, and it says in your FAQ's:

"*If you already have the song on your computer, upload it to your imeem profile and listen to it full-length. You can always listen to entire songs that you’ve uploaded to imeem; they will not be converted to 30-second previews. .....*"

I've uploaded 3 playlists and embedded your player into my website, not one of the playlists works correctly,

multiple songs on each playlist simply wont play.

I followed your instructions to ensure full length songs, Not one playlist functions properly.

I created a $10.00 VIP account, and I still cannot use a full playlist.

Sometimes a song only plays once, and then cannot be replayed,

I have received several complaints.

Is it my song format?

Can Imeem play m4a?

after uploading, i get a msg stating that songs were “transcoded” successfully,

so i figured that the uploads were successful.

The streaming rights and status of any song is dictated by the owner of the copyright for that song. Some tracks will play full-length only from the imeem site itself.

Other users will only hear the full song if the artist/label has approved it for full-length streaming.

Please note there are some artists who are only allowing their songs to be streamed fully on the imeem website regardless of who uploaded the song.

If you did not upload the song, you can only hear the full-length song if the artist/label approved the full streaming.

** imeem supports mp3 music files. For best upload and playback results we recommend that the files have a sample rate of 44.1 kHz. There is no size limitation but the upload time for each file cannot exceed one hour.

Dear imeem support:

So basically, I signed up, gave you all my information, my credit card number, and a whopping $10.00, for what?

I can't use your player.

I can't play my own music on my own website.

Your company claims to offer clients the ablility of "embedding playlists on their blogs or social networking profiles",

What you don't say is, you can't play most songs.

I understand that imeem is so big that it legally can't offer a simple service such as playing my own goddam music from my own personal playlist outside of its “invisible” internet borders.

You guys should probably be more honest and simply tell people that you're just a private music club, and an online storage company; that for "legal reasons" can't fully allow several of the very services you claim to offer.

My entire website is built around showing people things that I think are cool, websites that are creative, and showcasing peoples online ingenuity and creative talent.

I decided to go with imeem, because your uploading is easy, your playlist creation is simple, and your player options and styles are pleasing.

But your player service does not exist outside of your website, which it claims to be able to do..

Thanks for nothing.

I will be removing your player, deleting my account, and finding another.
